CFG is delighted to announce that in January 2012 it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Niger Government with the objective of raising finance to promote and fund the following:

To investigate investment possibilities and opportunities within the oil and mining sectors

To publicise and emphasize Niger’s natural resources for exploration and development

To assist in the development of the newly set up Public-Private Partnership Unit and the related Order No: 201104 dated 16 September 2011

To actively seek British Investment into Niger through the PPP

To set up one or more investment schemes to facilitate the exploration and development of Niger’s oil and mining sectors together with all other natural resources

To assist CFG and its subsidiary company CFG Niger in achieving the objectives the Government has elected to commit a selection of some 15/20 of its most favourable mining and hydro carbon concessions to act as the Government’s contribution within the investment schemes.

CFG together with its legal team will draw up the investment schemes having regard to the make up and market conditions relevant to each concession and the information available for each concession

CFG and the Niger Government are totally committed to achieve the objectives and the programme is now well advanced. A list of the concessions together with the relevant data will be available very shortly for inspection by all interested parties through the offices of CFG
